LAKKI MARWAT: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has that people will reject the candidates backed by secular forces on July 25 and would not let anyone to promote western culture in the country.

Addressing an election rally in Tajori here on Monday, he said that political system of the country had been dominated by secular forces for the last 70 years. “Islam is against such ideology. The religious parties will not let secular forces to implement the agenda of western masters,” he added.

Mutahidda Majlis-i-Amal candidate for PK-92 Malik Noor Saleem, candidate for NA-36 Maulana Mohammad Anwar, Maulana Ashraf Ali and Haji Azizullah of Jamat-i-Islami also spoke on the occasion.

Mr rehman, who is also head of MMA, said that ballot was not only a piece of paper.

“The vote you cast in elections decide the future rulers of the country,” he said. He asked the people to poll their votes in favour of righteous and trustworthy candidates of MMA.

The JUI-F chief said that vote in favour of MMA candidates would give a clear message to the secular forces that there was no room for them in the country.

He said that their rival candidates were trying to purchase the loyalties of voters by offering electricity pylons, transformers and water pumps to them.

He said that people could not be deceived through such tactics as they were politically mature and would elect candidates of MMA.

He called upon the workers to launch door-to-door campaign to ensure success of MMA aspirants in the elections.
