ISLAMABAD: The Pims management has requested its staff to donate to funds set up on the directives of Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar for the construction of dams.

Pims Executive Director Dr Raja Amjad has issued a circular, stating that the staff should donate funds for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dams.

In the circular it is stated that as per order of the Supreme Court, the finance ministry has opened an account under the title, ‘Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dam Fund-2018’ for the construction of dams.

“All Pims employees are requested to take part in the noble cause and deposit maximum donations in the said account,” it states.

The CJ has deposited Rs1 million in the account as donation from his personal account. The payments can be deposited in all branches of the State Bank of Pakistan, all treasuries and branches of National Bank of Pakistan and all other scheduled banks.

Moreover, contribution can be deposited at Pakistan missions and remitted to the State Bank of Pakistan which would prescribe necessary accounting procedure.

Pims Media Coordinator Dr Waseem Khawaja told Dawn that all employees had been directed to contribute to the fund. “It is a noble cause and every citizen wants to address the issue of water shortage so they should contribute to it,” he said.
