With only 18 days to go in the general elections, the polls this time around appear to be a "subdued affair" in Lahore which was buzzing with activity around the same time during 2013 elections.

"What is conspicuous about the activities ahead of the July 25 polls is perhaps a lack of enthusiasm, energy and anticipation surrounding the campaigns launched by various political parties," Dawn's report on election activities in Lahore reads.

Has Imran Khan's message lost its lustre or is it the lack of enthusiasm on part of PML-N workers that's dampening election activities? Or have people simply lost faith in capabilities of elected representatives?
