ART is a vast range of expression and communication that interacts with its surroundings. It has all sorts of languages.

Such a polyglot is Bharat Rathore from the small city of Chelhar in Tharparkar district, Sindh. Born in 1988, he received his early education from government public school Main Chelhar, then enrolled in Rai Chand Rathore School from where he passed his matriculation in 2003. He graduated from the University of Sindh, after which he worked as a data entry operator for Nadra. He also served at Hilal Public School Mithi and currently teaches at the Al Mehran Public School, Mithi. He teaches science, mathematics, and English, and likes reading books, playing and watching cricket, composing poetry, and making sketches and portraits.

“Every man is an artist in his life,” he says, “it is better is to explore passion himself. The creative work of an artist shows imagination and sensitivity, and explores sentiment and emotion.

In foreign countries, art has great value. In our small cities, people do not value and appreciate art because they do not know what it is. The desert of Tharpakar has many scenes to be conducive to art. Schools should teach the fine arts and employ art teachers. The government should open art centres on the district level and hold competitions. If our youth take part in international competitions, they will not only represent themselves or their families but also the country.
