PML-N's party workers in South Waziristan demanded their candidate for NA-49, Dilawar Khan, be disciplined with a show-cause notice — and expelled from the party — for withdrawing in favour of PTI's Dost Mohammad Khan.

"PML-N workers rendered sacrifices for strengthening the party in the region but some people [are] bent upon damaging it for their personal gains." — PML-N secretary information for Waziristan, Naqeebullah Mehsud

Mehsud added that the workers appreciated the party's decision to award Khan a ticket, but are disappointed the candidate abandoned them halfway, and want the party to enforce discipline.
