BAHAWALPUR: PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is expected to begin his Punjab election campaign from Thursday (today).

According to PPP sources, South Punjab President Makhdum Ahmed Mahmood will welcome Bilawal on Thursday evening in Sadiqabad where he will address a rally in the constituency of sons of Ahmed Mehmood at Nawazabad.

On Friday morning, he is expected to visit Ahmedpur East and address a public meeting for candidate Makhdum Ali Hassan Gilani, who is contesting from two constituencies NA-173 and 174 after defection from PML-N.

POLLS CODE: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ayub Khan on Wednesday chaired a meeting of candidates and warned them of action in case of violation of ECP code of conduct.

DPO Dr. Muhammad Iqbal advised the candidates to avoid criticising armed forces and Supreme Court.
