BATTAGRAM: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has awarded tickets for one national and two provincial assembly seats in the Battagram district to the JUI-F candidates.

The MMA’s district cabinet tried to develop a consensus on the award of tickets among the seven aspirants, but they failed and the matter was referred to the provincial leadership.

For NA-12 constituency, two candidates, former MNA Qari Mohammad Yusuf of JUI-F and Maulana Rasheed Ahmed, had filed their nomination papers, but the decision came in favour of Qari Yusuf.

The MMA ticket for PK-29 was issued to Mohammad Fayaz Khan Advocate of JUI-F. JI district emir Haji Imdadullah Khan and Maulana Shah Faisal from JUI-F were also aspiring for the ticket. Similarly, there were two aspirants for PK-28, former MPA Shah Hussain Khan of JUI-F and Haji Mahajareen Khan of JI, but the ticket went to the former.
