There are few examples such as Shah Mehmood Qureshi or Jahangir Tareen, who have been able to ensconce themselves in an upcoming party. The majority have had to struggle in the wilderness.

And this is perhaps why Chaudhry Nisar too has resisted the temptation to jump ship formally.
