MIRPURKHAS, May 31: The district council on Tuesday cancelled with a majority vote the tenders invited for development schemes while the district was headed by a DCO. It was the first session of the council after its nazim was reinstated. The members resolved that schemes passed by the district council under the annual development programme would be initiated.

Convener Nawab Younis Talpur presided over the session.

District Nazim Shafqat Shah Jilani, DCO Khursheed Naeem Malik and Umerkot DCO Mushtaq Shaikh also attended the meeting.

The members offered Fateha for those who died in bomb explosions in Islamabad and Karachi.

Mian Saleem said two ambulances of the taluka hospital, Kunri, were in use of doctors.
