KARACHI: The Karachi Circular Railway project was abandoned by the Sindh government and not by Japan, said the consul general of Japan here after inaugurating a mango festival at a hotel on Sunday evening.

“Without informing us, former Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced the inclusion of the KCR project in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,” said the CG.

He said his country could supply buses to Pakistan for the Green Line Bus project in Karachi at a lower price. In addition, he said, Pakistan would get spare parts and service for those buses at a low cost.
