KARACHI: A man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a six-year-old girl within the remit of the Tipu Sultan police station on Sunday.

The suspect made the alleged attempt outside her home. However, he was caught by the girl’s father, said Gulshan SP Ghulam Murtaza Bhutto. The suspect was a neighbour.

Later on, the police took him into custody and registered a case against him on the complaint of the girl’s father.
