SWABI, May 30: The All Teachers Association (ATA) has demanded to increase their salaries in the forthcoming federal budget, in propotion to the rise in prices. These views were expressed by leaders of the ATA and employees of other departments in separate press statements on Monday.
The ATA leaders said that before each budget it was declared by the government that the budget would be employee-oriented and there would no burden on the salaried people, but the entire burden was always passed on to them.
They said the prices of essential commodities had increased manifold and it was difficult to live with dignity and honour under the prevailing conditions.
