PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department on Thursday claimed to have arrested a man on the charges of killing a Sikh peace activist, Charanjeet Singh, a couple of weeks ago.

Unknown killer had attacked Mr Singh on May 29 in Scheme Chowk area of Peshawar.

KP interim chief minister retired Justice Dost Mohammad Khan had also directed the police to trace and arrest the killers of Mr Singh.

A statement issued here said that CTD police after investigations had arrested an accused, identified as Shehryar, from Ghala Mandi area near Kohat Road.

The suspect is said to be a resident of Kagawala area of the city.

It said that Shehryar also divulged information about his other accomplices and a police team was searching for them.
