TAXILA: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) stalwart and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan filed nomination papers for two national and as many provincial assembly seats even though his party has not yet announced the names of its candidates.

Political aides of Chaudhry Nisar filed the nomination papers for NA-63, NA 59, PP-10 and PP-12.

Former MPA from Taxila Umer Farooq along with local leaders of the party filed Chaudhry Nisar’s papers for NA-63 with returning officer Tahir Abbas Sipra.

For NA-59, PP-10 and PP-12, the nomination papers were filed by Sheikh Sajidur Rehman.

The returning officer summoned the former interior on June 13 for scrutiny of his nomination papers.
