The seven-member cabinet of caretaker CM Fazalur Rahman has taken oath. Governor Sindh Mohammad Zubair administered the oath to the interim ministers during a ceremony in Karachi.

Rahman's cabinet comprises Khair Muhammad Junejo, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Jameel Yousaf, Col. (R) Dost Muhammad Chandio, Dr Sadia Rizvi, Simon John Daniel and Dr Junaid Shah.

But formation of this cabinet was a little delayed as the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) had raised questions about the loyalty of a number of persons who were going to be inducted as ministers.

In light of GDA's reservations, Rahman had assured the alliance that no partial person would be picked for the interim cabinet and that the caretaker government was committed to its task of holding a free and fair election.
