MIRAMSHAH, May 28: Political authorities arrested five Afghan nationals on Saturday on the charge of waving Indian and Afghan flags during a cricket match, officials said. They said some Afghans, who lived in the area and some area people hoisted Indian and Afghan flags during the match played on the Chishma ground near Miramshah on Friday.

Taking notice of the incident, political and military authorities raided the village and arrested five people, all of them Afghan nationals.

The arrested people have been identified by the authorities as Asadullah, Ahmadullah, Tareen Khan, Hujatullah and Fareed Khan.

Meanwhile, elders and maliks of the area have demanded that the government should take action against those elements who were hatching a conspiracy to instigate anti-state sentiments in tribal areas.
