District Central Whites win hockey clash

KARACHI: District Central Whites chalked up their maiden victory in two games when they defeated district South Whites 9-5 in the Olympian Mansoor Ahmed Inter-district five-a-side hockey league at the KHA Sports Complex on Friday.

The winners, who were held to a seven-all draw by district Korangi Colours in their opening fixture a day earlier, scored through Noman (3), Salman (2), Shozaib (2), Darab (1) and Saud (1).

Zafran stood tall for the losers slamming four goals while Raza Abbas completed the tally.

In an earlier match, district East Whites overwhelmed district West Colours 9-2 in pool C encounter.

Ehtisham and Anas shared four goals amongst themselves while Babar, Ismail, Hunain, Abdullah and Nadeem netted once for the winners.

Arsalan Lodhi and Hammad Ahmed scored one goal apiece for losers.
