Zakat scheme in Ghangche

SKARDU, May 27: The Zakat Permanent Rehabilitation Scheme will soon be launched in Ghangche district of the Northern Areas and scrutiny of applications for the Zakat funds received by the Ghangche District Zakat Committee is in progress. The scrutiny is being done by officers of the Siachen Brigade.

The chairman of the District Zakat Committee has requested the Siachen Brigade to cooperate in this regard to ensure distribution of the funds in a transparent manner.

In-charge, DMT, Ghangche, Major Jehandad has directed the chairmen of the local Zakat committees and the applicants of the zone-1 to appear for interviews at Toheedabad Gwari on May 30 and the applicants of the zone-6 at Khaplu rest house on May 31 and June 1.

After scrutiny of the applications, about Rs2.9 million will be distributed among deserving people for launching small businesses. —-APP
