I don't understand why this military vehicle manufacturing experience is not used to develop an indigenous civilian vehicle/car in Pakistan.....same goes for missile tech...why can't it be enhanced/modified and used for launching satellites...can any Pakistani give a reasonable response to it...Note: I am just curious and not at all being critical here

@MANVINDER Simply put its because of lack of investment. Our military institute has been in a sort of isolation and cornered plus there is financial constraint therefore the only option they had was to indigenously produce and it worked. They are producing results, although not claiming to be best but it get the job done which is a step in right direction. Same cannot be said about commercial vehicles as there is no such pressure and its far easier to be part of supply chain whether new or used car, rather than inventing and competing. There are local manufacturers/assemblers of foreign (but localized) brands but they are still way behind in terms of quality, features, services, and above all affordability. Space is highly advanced and soon to be very competitive industry, I believe there is already some sort of joint undertaking in this regard with China but again I dont see Pakistan getting into this race simply because of economic reasons. But they can be subcontractors for others.

@MANVINDER There have been efforts done in the past to develop indigenous vehicles however from a consumer takeup and perception perspective Japanese made cars are still the king and there is no demand for local cars - simply put, local indigenous cars can only take off if government mandates all public vehicles are local brands. I don't think the current government has the vision to execute this strategy.
