Young man shot dead in Orangi

KARACHI: A young man was shot dead in an Orangi Town area, police said on Friday.

They said that Ali Afzal, 30, was killed in Arshi ground within the remit of the Mominabad police station late on Thursday night.

SSP West Omar Shahid Hamid said that the deceased was allegedly involved in street crimes and was once arrested by the Gulberg police.

He said that he went to Italy and had recently returned.

The SSP said that police had got significant clues about the identity and motive of the killers.

He said initial probe revealed that he was killed by a close relative, also a suspected criminal, over some monetary dispute.
