Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader (PTI) Naeemul Haque on Tuesday lost his temper during a TV show and slapped PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz while arguing with him.

Haque and Aziz were appearing on Geo TV's 'Aapas Ki Baat' programme — hosted by Muneeb Farooq — along with journalist Iftikhar Ahmed and PPP lawmaker Nafisa Shah as guests.

According to details shared by the anchor, both the leaders were present in Geo TV's Islamabad studio while Farooq was moderating the show from the Lahore studio.

A video clip from the show which is making the rounds on social media shows Haque becoming infuriated over some remarks made by Aziz, in which the PML-N leader apparently called him a “thief”.

At this, the PTI leader slapped Aziz, saying, "How dare you [Aziz] call me a thief, you should be ashamed of yourself."

Aziz, while commenting on the incident, said that the general attitude of PTI leaders is very intolerant. "They cannot tolerate criticism and resort to violence."

This is not the first time Haque has been involved in a physical altercation while appearing on TV.

In 2011, the PTI leader threw a glass at PPP's Jameel Soomro after the former allegedly hurled verbal abuse against him.

Dawn.com has reached out to Naeemul Haque for comment on the matter and is awaiting a response.
