ISLAMABAD: A 40-year-old woman died and her teenage son was injured in a traffic accident on Islamabad Expressway in the limits of the Loi Bher police on Sunday evening.

According to the police, the teenager was driving the motorbike with his mother sitting behind when a truck coming from Rawat side hit them.

The accident occurred after the motorcycle made a U-turn on the highway.

The woman died on the spot and her son was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) in a critical condition.

A police official said a case had been registered against the truck driver.
