Man arrested for assaulting minor boy

PESHAWAR: The city police on Monday arrested a suspect for assaulting a minor boy.

An official at Pahariupra police station told Dawn that the incident took place on Sunday, when the suspect identified as Saqib assaulted a seven-year-old boy.

The official said they had registered FIR against the accused under section 377 of PPC on the complaint of the boy’s mother.

He said the child was referred to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.

He said police arrested the suspect on Monday and currently they were arranging his identity parade before the victim and his family.
