ISLAMABAD: The capital police conducted a mock exercise here on Wednesday to check response in case of terrorist attack, police said.

A bomb blast and hostage scene was created at National Library where police officials played the role of people and terrorists.

A mock terrorist attack followed by bomb blast left four dead and six injured.

An SOS call was aired at the communication system of police, fire brigade and other security and rescue departments.

Personnel of Counter Terrorism Force, Army, and Rangers raided the building and arrested three persons who acted as terrorists. They also cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation.

After clearing the area the paramedics shifted injured and dead to Pims and Polyclinic.

The forensic agency along with other departments concerned collected evidence from the area.
