Three shot dead in Quetta

QUETTA, May 23: Three peopel were killed in Satellite Town when a gruoup of people opened fire with automatic weapons late on Monday night. The bodies of the victims were brought to the Civil Hospital. They had received multiple bullet injuries. They have been identified as Pervez Ahmed, Asmatullah and Abdullah.

The motive of the attack could not be known. Police said investigation had been launched.

QUAKE IN QUETTA: A moderate earthquake was felt in Quetta valley on Monday but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, officials said.

The quake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was felt at 9.14am in the provincial capital, a seismological department official said. The epicentre of the earthquake was located about 110km north of Quetta, near Muslim Bagh, he said.
