KARACHI: 9kg tumour removed

KARACHI, May 23: In a major operation performed at Sindh Government Qatar Hospital, doctors took out 9kg tumour from the uterus of a woman. Surgeon Naushad Parvez said that condition of the woman was satisfactory and she would be discharged after three days. He said the woman was in a pathetic condition when brought to the hospital five days back, as she was being kept on antibiotics by doctors. However, he said, her ultrasound showed the presence of a big tumour in her womb. The operation continued for two hours, he added. —APP
