FAISALABAD, May 22: The Faisalabad Development Authority has declared 25 housing schemes illegal and asked people not to purchase plots in these colonies. According to FDA sources, the colonies are being developed without the authority’s approval and in violation of the Section 12(5) of the Punjab Development of Cities Act of 1976 and rules of the Local Government and Rural Development Punjab.

The colonies are: Gulfishan Garden, Chak No 67-GB (Jhang Road); Rehman village, Chak No 241-GB (Jhang Road); Madina Garden, Chak No 226 and 227-RB (Satiana Road); Mian Town, Chak No 67-JB near New Sabzi Mandi Bypass Road; Kareem Garden, Chak No 238-RB (Satiana Road); Telecom Employees Cooperative Housing Scheme, Chak No 226-RB (Satiana Road); Motorway City, Chak No 5-JB (Sargodha Road); Khushi Town, Chak No 215-RB (Jaranwala Road); Saigol City, Chak No 234-RB (Samundri Road); Ali Graden, Chak No 66-GB (Jhang Road); Sangam City, Chak No 66-JB near New Sabzi Mandi (Jhang Road), Gulshan Iqbal Chak No 228-RB (Bypass Jaranwala Road); Illyas Garden, Chak No 232-RB (Samundri Road); and Gulshan Raheem, Chak No 215-RB (Jaranwala Road).

Among others are Gulshan Noor, Chak No 226-RB (Satiana Road); Lawyers Housing Scheme, Chak No 198-RB (Canal Road); Imdad Town, Chak No 215-RB (Jaranwala Road); Rehman City, Chak No 67-JB (Jhang Road); Abdullah City, Chak No 233-RB (Samundri Road); Siddique Town, Chak No 67 and 68-JB near New Sabzi Mandi Bypass Road; Al-Rehmat Homes, Chak No 226-RB near Fish Farm (Satiana Road); Al-Barkat Villas, Chak No 226-RB (Satiana Road); Rehman Villas, Chak No 226-RB (Satiana Road); Naud Garden, Chak No 198-RB (Sheikhupura Road); and Kamal Town, Chak No 215-RB (Jaranwala Road).

The FDA has also directed the landowners/developers of these housing schemes to submit their projects for approval within 15 days, otherwise they will be liable to face action.—APP
