DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 22: The Gomal University will reopen on May 25. The university was closed last week after students staged violent demonstrations on the campus. 30 students, who were allegedly involved in damaging the university property and creating law and order situation, have been expelled from the university for two years.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the chairmen’s council which was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Dr Ahmed Saeed.

The VC said that the district police had assured them that law and order would be maintained in the university. He said that no written complaint was filed by the father of the deceased student (Asif Shah) with the university administration.
