ISLAMABAD, May 22: Federal Minister for Tourism Dr G.G. Jamal has said there is no security problem for tourists, particularly in the Northern Areas, and tourists could move freely anywhere in the country. He was talking to the ambassador of Thailand, who called on him here on Sunday.

The minister said tourism was a fast-growing industry in Pakistan and the day was not far away when we would be able to earn lot of foreign exchange through tourism. He said the government was taking steps to provide better facilities to tourists. In this regard, he added, information centres were being established in various parts of the country while para-gliding would be held in the Northern Areas.

The Thai ambassador said his country could help Pakistan in promotion of tourism industry.
