SWABI, May 22: The ninth convocation of the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology will be held on May 26. A spokesman for the GIK Institute said on Sunday that NWFP Governor Khalilur Rehman would be the chief guest on the occasion.

The governor, he said, would give away degrees and medals to the out-going students.

A batch of about 180 students of four-year Bachelors Degree Programme would be graduated in Electronic Engineering; Computer System Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Metallurgy and Materials Engineering; and Engineering Sciences.

Besides the BS students, he said about 20 students would receive their M.S./PhDs. degree in different disciplines of engineering sciences.

He said that diplomats of different countries, other dignitaries, members of the Board of Governors of GIK Institute, and parents/guardians of the out-going graduating students would attend the ceremony.
