HYDERABAD, Jan 8: The chairmen of several committees of Hyderabad District Council were unanimously elected in a meeting of the committees here on Tuesday which was presided over by the convener and district Naib Nazim, Nawab Rashid Ali Khan.

Mohammad Ali alias Hakim Ali Khatyan was elected chairman of forest, fisheries and wildlife committee, Tayaba Khan of women development, Abdul Rashid Sarhandi of Auqaf, Baitul Maal and Zakat, Manthar Ali of education, Abdul Raheem of finance and planning, Mohammad Fayaz Khan of public health, Akhund Javed Ahmed of population welfare, Mrs Sumera Akhlaq of information technology, Syed Shamsuddin Shah of literacy and Haji Khair Mohammad Khokhar was elected as chairman of land revenue committee.
