Kharan split into 2 districts

QUETTA, May 21: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousaf has announced the partition of Kharan into two districts and establishment of a new district comprising Sherani Tehsil of Zhob district. He made the announcements while speaking at a public meeting held in Kharan on Saturday.

With the establishment of the new districts, the number of districts in Balochistan would increase from 27 to 29.

The chief minister assured the Kharan people of taking steps for resolution of their other problems and said that the provincial government was taking concrete measures to develop backward and less-developed districts of the province.—APP
