KARACHI, May 19: Five ships including a rice loader, Pearl, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where eight ships, Maersk Alaska, Asian Trader, Sagamor, Hyundai Future, and Y.M.Star to unload and load containers, Gulf Dove to load molasses, and Botany Trust to offload tallow were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Future, APL Jeddah, Kota Wijaya, Mearsk Alaska, Sargodha, Nur Yanbu and Yuan Pingsea, while Asian Leader, Botany Trust, Y.M.Star and Gulf Dove are due to sail out on Friday. Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 89,971 tons comprising 25,490 tons of export cargo and 64,481 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Pearl, to load 13,600 tons of rice, Chem Lily and Oriental Keeria, with chemicals, Rickmers Dubai, with containers and Venuzs, to offload 11,630 tons of ammonium sulphate.
