LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan attracted a large number of people in Lahore during the party’s two-day membership drive in the city and vowed the change would begin from Lahore and spread across Punjab and Pakistan in the upcoming general election.

Leading rallies, Imran Khan addressed party workers and supporters at Youhanabad, Thokar Niaz Beg, Jinnah Hospital, Akbar Chowk, Dubai Chowk and Saddar Bazaar. Commuters, however, faced problems while commuting on city roads owing to camps set up at busy places and vehicles parked on roads.

Mr Khan said the ‘massive crowd’ had turned up at PTI camps and lauded the efforts of party’s Punjab president Aleem Khan and other leaders from Lahore.

Following seven membership camps’ visit on the first day (on Saturday), Mr Khan began the second day by visiting Christian locality Youhanabad and extended his felicitations to the community on Easter. He also cut a cake.

Amidst slogans of “Prime Minister Imran Khan”, the PTI chairman said his party’s vision matched that of Quaid-e-Azam’s, who carved out Pakistan on the world map to ensure that all minorities got their due rights and respect.Imran Khan said it was high time that Naya Pakistan be created where welfare state concept could be implemented and every needy taken care off.
