RAWALPINDI, May 18: A batch of 57 Pakistanis deported by the United States arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday on a chartered flight, immigration authorities said. The Boeing 757 carrying the deportees, including three women and four children and their US security guards, arrived at around 5.30pm.

An immigration official said initially 63 Pakistanis were scheduled to arrive, but six were dropped due to unknown reasons. The deportees who were arrested on different charges in the US were handed over to Pakistani immigration authorities shortly after arriving at Islamabad. After recording statements of deportees, officials of the FIA passport cell allowed them to go home.
