SHEIKHUPURA: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif made a surprise visit to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) on Sunday.

He inaugurated the installation of CT scan machine at the hospital. Speaking on the occasion, he said every DHQ hospital in the province would be provided with the facility of CT scan machine.

He added that proper treatment of all patients besides free medicines, including surgical facilities, would be available in every DHQ and THQ hospitals of Punjab.

He urged the doctors and paramedics to serve the patients with dedication and consider it their prime duty.

To a question, Shahbaz said a children ward would also be set up in the hospital shortly.

He chided Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, saying when the PTI government could not develop Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, how could it build a new Pakistan.

The PML-N government always served the countrymen without any discrimination.

Later, the CM flew to Bhikki Power Plant and held a meeting with its management affairs. Health secretary Ali Jan, Deputy Commissioner Arqam Tariq and Dr. Jawed Goraya were present.
