After recording a clean-sweep in the ODI series, Pakistan Women clinched the Twenty20 International series as well with a decisive 38-run victory against their Sri Lankan counterparts in their final match of the tour in Colombo on Saturday.

In the second innings, a trio of run-outs in the seventh over dented Sri Lanka's pursuit of their 114-run target as they succumbed to another defeat at the hands of the Girls in Green at Colombo’s Sinhalese Sports Club

Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Pakistan had posted 113 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs, thanks in part to their standout batter Javeria Khan's run-a-ball, 38-run knock. She hit three fours during her 40-run stand with Nida Dar, who contributed 22 runs off just 16 balls.

Opener Sidra Ameen also chipped win with 23 off 34 balls.

For Sri Lanka, Sugandika Kumari and Oshadi Ranasinghe took two wickets each for 20 and 23 runs respectively.

Chasing a modest target of 114, the Sri Lankan team could muster just 75-8 as Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof took two wickets for 14 runs, whereas Sana Mir and Diana Baig claimed a scalp each; the rest of the dismissals were all run outs.

The series victory was supplemented by some standout performances from the Pakistan side. Javeria Khan was the top scorer for Pakistan with 93 runs in three matches, while Diana Baig was the top wicket-taker.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi expressed his delight at Pakistan Women's latest triumph via a congratulatory tweet.

With their 2-1 win in the 20-over series, Pakistan concluded their tour of Sri Lanka.
