KARACHI, May 18: The syndicate meeting of Dow University made various important decisions on academic matters. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the syndicate approved names of 167 candidates, who were selected after interviews for appointments against posts of assistant professors and professors in the university.

Terms and conditions for appointment of vice-chancellor and registrar were also approved. The meeting also approved the rules of business of syndicate. Besides, decisions pertaining to service and financial statutes were also considered.

It also rationalized rule of fee payment for regular students as well as those under self-finance scheme who were going to reappear in examinations.

Syndicate also approved singing of Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Illinois Chicago Campus, which would allow students and research fellows of both universities to get education in either of the institutions. —PPI
