KARACHI, May 17: The Islami Jamiat Talaba in a press conference on Tuesday alleged that two IJT activists and students of Jinnah College, who appeared in the HSC annual exams on Tuesday, were detained by some unruly elements at Government Degree College, North Karachi. According to IJT Nazim Karachi Syed Mohammad Tahir, the two students, Saifullah and Shahzad, who were leaving the centre after exam, were caught by workers of a rival students’ wing, taken back in a classroom of the college and were tortured. When the incident was reported to the police on 15 by the IJT, SHO Zulqarnain initiated action and recovered the two students.
