CHARSADDA: Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has warned of chaos and anarchy in the country if 18th Amendment was changed.

He was addressing workers convention at Sarkai Tetara here on Friday. The ANP leader claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government had miserably failed to fulfil the promises it had made with voters. He alleged that the PTI leadership even deceived a religious leader in the recently-held Senate elections. He said that horse-trading in Senate election had disappointed the nation.

He said that if Prevez Khattak government could pay millions of rupees grant to Darul Uloom Haqqania then why it ignored other religious seminaries. He said that time had come to change national policies. He said that peace and prosperity in Pakistan was linked to stability in Afghanistan.

The ANP chief called upon India and Pakistan to make sincere efforts for solution of lingering Kahsmir issue.

About the Bus Rapid Transit project, he alleged that the project had been started to get commissions.

He said that due to ill-planning the people of Peshawar and other districts were facing problems due to ongoing work on the project.
