Allah Bux Soomro remembered

SHIKARPUR, May 15: The 59th death anniversary of Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro, former premier of Sindh, was observed here on Saturday night. On the occasion, members of the Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro Memorial Committee, Hyderabad, Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Zain) and other social and political organizations and citizens held a meeting at the Punjpir graveyard and recited Holy Quran and offered fateha.

The committee members and Shaheed Soomro’s admirers laid flower wreaths on his grave.

About 10,000 candles were lighted at the graveyard and near New Foujdari, Shikarpur, where he had beeb martyred.

At the memorial meeting, the speakers including former MPA and grandson of Allah Bux Soomro, Younus Mahar, Qazi Javed, Agha Qamar Mushwani, Mahesh Kumar and others highlighted his political and social contributions.

They paid rich tributes to him and vowed to follow in his footsteps.

On the occasion, a Sughar Kutchehry was held in the night.
