JACOBABAD, May 15: At least 24 people fell unconscious as a result of food poisoning in Abdul Aziz Kharani village in the jurisdiction of Sadar police station. It is said that the food consumed by the people included vegetable sent to one Abdul Aziz by his relative in Balochistan and he distributed them among people closed to him.

It was reported that immediately after taking the food, 24 people fainted.

They were shifted to the civil hospital, Jacobabad on Sunday.

The victims were identified as Rubina, Soomal, Ganj Bux, Nihal, Aijaz, Noor Bibi, Qadir Bux, Gul Bibi, Hafeezan, Raheela, Hazari, Amina, Naghman, Shafi, Sughiran, Ambar, Adeel, Safar, Mohammad Aleem, Tausif, Reshman, Roshan, Mehwish and Ahmed.
