Arms seized

QUETTA, May 15: The Makran Scouts seized a large quantity of drugs and illegal arms and ammunition from Balecha area, close to Pak-Iran border in Makran, on Sunday. According to the Frontier Corps sources, the Makran Scouts, acting on a tip, cordoned off Balecha area along Pak-Iran border and launched a search operation during which drugs and arms were recovered. The consignment, dumped under ground, included 325 kg hashish, 60 kg heroin, 107 rockets, 3 SMGs and rounds of 12.7 MM. No arrest was, however, made.

Meanwhile CID police also recovered 10 hand grenades, 6 AK-47 rifles and several thousands of rounds during a raid in Kuchlak on Sunday night and arrested accused Ali Ahmed.
