SHANGLA: ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that the government should ease suffering of the people of Malakand division by making their passage from checkposts hassle-free.

Speaking to party workers in Bisham on Tuesday night, he said: “The people of Malakand division are suffering while traveling to Swat and other parts of the province due to strict checking at the checkposts, so the government, especially the law enforcement agencies, should ensure convenience to the citizens,” he demanded.

ANP district president Saeed Fareen, NA-10 candidate Sadeed ur Rehman and others also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Hoti said Pakhtuns had rendered countless sacrifices to restore peace in the province. He claimed that peace had been restored due to sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, ANP workers and other patriotic citizens of the province.

Mr Hoti said he was aware that the people of Shangla faced various problems due to remoteness of the district.

The ANP leader requested the workers to begin preparations for the upcoming elections and cast their votes for ANP candidates in the district. “The PK-23 constituency in Mardan from where I won the elections and became the chief minister has now been given to Shangla, so I hope ANP would defeat other parties and win all seats from the district,” Mr Hoti said.

Mr Hoti also visited Chakesar tehsil where he also addressed the party workers. He announced that if he came to power again he would build a university in Shangla, besides executing other uplift projects.
