KARACHI: Employees promoted

Published May 14, 2005

KARACHI, May 13: The Sindh Minister for Commerce and Industry, Adil Siddiqui, on Friday granted promotion to 171 employees of the Sindh Government Printing Press, while another 174 were moved over. The minister was attending a milad gathering at the printing press.

He dispelled the impression that the government had any plans of privatizing the institute; however, urging workers to boost their efficiency if they wanted to save their institute from privatization.

The promotions and move-overs of employees of the press had been put on the back-burner since 1993. A notification was issued for promotions and move-overs of the press’ 345 employees of grade 1-15. — PPI
