PFF names 32 probables

LAHORE, May 12: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has invited 32 probables for the national training camp to select a 20-member team for a three-match home series against India from June 12 to 18. The camp begins at Ayub Stadium, Quetta from May 17. The matches will be played at Quetta on June 12, Peshawar on June 16 and Lahore on June 18.

A Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) said players from provinces or departments, affiliated with PFF, could also participate in the open trials to be held on June 15 and 16 in Quetta. Each province is allowed to send two probables while departments four.

Mohammad Saeed has been named camp commandant while Akhtar Mohiyuddin and Tariq Lutfi will be coaches.

Probables:

Goalkeepers: Jaffar Khan (Army), Mohammad Shehzad (HBL), Mehmood Ahmad (Army), Majid, Zahid Iqbal (Wapda).

Defenders: Mohammad Shahid, Naveed Akram, Tanvir Ahmad, Dilshad (Wapda), Mohammad Imran, Ijaz Ahmed (Army), Yasir Sabir (PTCL), Mahmood Khan, Aurangzeb (NBP), Ilyas (PAF).

Midfielders: Zahid Hameed (Wapda), Atiq-ur-Rahman (KRL), Mohammad Zahid, Shabbir Hussain, Babar Mehmood (Army), Imran Niazi, Zakir Hussain (Wapda), Abdul Nasir (Afghan Club), Farooq Shah (NBP).

Strikers: Arif Mehmood, Usman Sattar, (Wapda), Muhammad Essa, Shahid Ahmed (PTCL), Abdul Aziz (NBP), Imran Hussain (army), Qadeer (KRL), Nazeer Tanga (HBL).
