Armed men kill two villages

JACOBABAD, May 12: Two people were killed by armed men in two incidents of robbery in the district. Four buffaloes were also rustled by the armed men. A man was shot dead in Garhi Din Ghar village in the Garhi Hassan police area, Thul taluka, on Thursday night.

Four bandits broke into the house of Bakht Ali Sarki.

In the meantime, family members woke up. The intruders opened fire, killing Faiz Mohammad Sarki on the spot.

The body was shifted to the Thul hospital for post-mortem.

No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

In the another incident, Sono Solangi was killed by armed men in Bakht Ali Solangi village in the katcha area, Kashmore taluka, on Wednesday night.

The armed men also rustled four buffalos.

PROTEST: A procession was taken out by the Shehri Ittehad Committee here on Thursday, demanding provision of potable water to Jacobabad.

The protesters carried placards, banners and wore black armbands.

They were raising slogans for the supply of clean water.

Akram Abro, Ahmed Ali Brohi and Nadeem Qureshi led the protest.

They said residents were being supplied contaminated water which had caused many diseases in the city.
