PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education (E&SE) Department on Friday notified the regularisation of 37,000 teachers recruited through National Testing Service.

According to the notification, the teachers who were appointed either on ad hoc or contract basis after 2013; employees appointed in projects as computers teachers, IT technicians and junior clerks in the department after 2013 were being regularised with effect from the date of their initial appointment.

It said that all the appointing authorities in E&SE department would issue regularisation orders in respect of employees falling within their competency and get those notified in the official gazette. The KP Assembly had in December last year passed the KP ES&E (Appointment and Regularisation of Services) Bill, 2017 to give legal cover to these appointments.
