TAXILA, May 12: The law-enforcement agencies have arrested a man involved in over six attacks on women using blades in Wah Cantonment over the last 10 days. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ijaz Khan presented the accused, Riasat, 26, before the media at Wah Cantonment Police Station on Thursday.

The official told the reporters that during preliminary investigation, the accused, a resident of Pind Bhoti village, had confessed to attacking women.

Talking to mediapersons, Riasat said he started attacking women out of frustration when the girl he loved married someone else.

He said there were no specific targets, and he would single out women walking through deserted lanes alone.

The SDPO said the accused would be tried under anti- terrorism act.

Two victims of the blade attacks, namely Suraya Begum and Nargas Ishfaq, identified the accused in front of the mediapersons.
