SUKKUR, May 10: Heavy contingents of police conducted raids on eight villages and arrested some 40 people allegedly involved in clashes between two rival groups. Those arrested in Dakhan, Nimoro and Mochian-Jo-Goth villages were identified as Abdul Jabbar, Azeem, Nazar Mohammad, Arbelo, Ghulam Rasool, Mohammad Hassan, Tariq Mahar, Raza Mohammad Arz Mohammad, Sikandar and Irshad.
Panic prevailed in the villages and armed men from the rival groups were entrenched against each other in Lakhi, Dakhan, Abdoo, Khahia and Chak villages.
